Tom Ford Violet Blonde is the latest sophisticated edition in his Signature Collection of fragrances. Tom Ford who is the epitome of style has just been awarded Man of the Year, 2011, by the Russian magazine GQ.

Tom Ford Violet Blonde is a sensual blend of quality Tuscan ingredients based on violet and iris.  The violet leaf and the root of the iris (Orris) are sourced from the hills of Florence and Siena. The two essential ingredients are only used in exclusive fragrances, the Iris root is also the key ingredient in Chanel No 19 and Chanel No 19 Poudre. Both the violet and iris absolute are costly to produce and distil. To harvest the essential oil from the iris, the plant must grow to maturity for three years and then the bulbs must be dried for two years, before the plant can be processed.

The fragrance opens with  the notes of  violet leaf, Italian mandarin and pink peppercorns to create a powdery aromatic aura.  The top notes are sensuously melded with the floral notes of Sambac Jasmine and Tuscan Iris absolute and butter. The Iris or Orris add an earthy talc richness.  The final woody notes of the fragrance are warm layers of musk, suede leather, Cedar Wood and Haitan vetiver.

Tom Ford Violet Blonde is packaged in a transparent glass ribbed Tom Ford fragrance bottle, allowing the golden amber liquid to illuminate through. The Tom Ford logo is elegantly embossed on a gold plate placed on the bottle. The stunning model Lara Stone is the face of Tom Ford Suicide Blonde.

According to Christopher Bailey, Burberry Body is the next chapter in the 155 years of Burberry history. For Burberry, Burberry Body is not just a fragrance launch, it is a brand launch, that reflects the attitude and energy of the modern British Burberry girl.

Burberry Body is a floral woody amber fragrance with an eclectic mix of ingredients. It was developed by perfumer Michael  Almairac, who has also created fragrances for Armani, Gucci, Bond and Chloe, to name just a few.  The scent has top notes of fresh green absinthe,  peach and  freesia. The floral bouquet of natural rose absolute and iris blends with warm notes of sandalwood. Woody cashmeran, creamy vanilla, amber and musk compose the base.

The Burberry Body falcon was designed by Christopher Bailey and is a multifaceted crystal -like, glass bottle with a rose gold check, etched into the bottle and the lid. The color palette of the Burberry Body packaging follows the traditional Burberry style of rose gold, nudes and white.

The celebrated photographer Mario Testino shot the Burberry Body campaign under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey.  The beautiful British actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the face (and body) of Burberry Body, who is nearly wearing an iconic rose gold satin Burberry trench coat.

Marc Jacobs Bang, is the first mens fragrance that the New York Fashion designer has released since Marc Jacobs For Men, 2002. Jacobs studied at Parsons School of Fashion in New York and in 1986 he launched his first collection. Since 1997, Jacobs has been the Creative Director for Louis Vuitton and is a contender to replace John Galliano at Dior.

Marc Jacob Bang, is a masculine spicy peppery, woody scent. It explodes with a ‘menage et trois’ of black, pink and white peppercorns, that is lightly embraced with vetiver. The warm sensual wood notes are soon released and then dry to a comforting talc base of white moss and patchouli. The scent was developed by Coty and created by perfumer Yann Vasnier. Vasnier has also developed Marc Jacobs Lola, Oh Lola, and several of Marc Jacobs Splash fragrances.

The impressive, futuristic and starkly original bottle designed by Harry Allen for Marc Jacobs Bang is a smoky black mufti-faceted glass bottle. While the brief for the bottle design was nearly 60 pages long, the request was simple, Coty and Marc Jacobs both wanted an iconic bottle. The bottle is coated on the front and back facades with  highly reflective aluminum. The metallic lustre provides a powerful statement that highlights the angles of the design and enables the angles to interact with each other. The Marc Jacobs Bang logo is stamped predominantly into the bottle for effective branding. The bottle is made from recyclable materials. Deservedly so, Marc Jacobs Bang was the winner of the Fragrance Foundation’s FiFi Awards for Men’s Luxe Best Packaging, 2011.

Jacobs decided on the fragrance name Bang, because he liked its connotations including its sexual reference. In Tom Ford style, Jacobs posed nude on a silver Mylar bed  with an over-sized Marc Jacobs Bang bottle strategically placed, for the ad campaign. It is the first time that Jacobs has appeared in his own advertising campaign, although he has appeared nude for the 2008 Skin Cancer Awareness campaign. Taylor Swift’s has released  numerous award winning country pop singles and she has now launched her first fragrance Wonderstruck, in conjunction with Elizabeth Arden.  The name for Taylor Swift’s new Wonderstruck  fragrance came from the lyrics ‘I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home,’ which is from her acclaimed song ‘Enchanted’.

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck is a fruity gourmand with a burst of floral notes and an underlying warm woody base. The fragrance was created by Givaudan perfumer Oliver Gillotin, who was the nose behind Beyonce’s Heat, Halle Berry’s Reveal the Passion and Mariah Carey’s, Forever.

Wonderstuck’s fragrance has a young blend of fruity notes that include raspberry, dewberry and peach, mixed with green tea, freesia, apple blossom, honeysuckle and white hibiscus. The warm notes included in the scent are vanilla, golden amber, musk and sandalwood.

For the Wonderstuck ad, Taylor Swift is dressed in an amazing flowing gown, designed by Christian Siriano of Project Runway fame. The pink ruffled gown is from his Spring Summer 2011 Collection. The Taylor Swift Wonderstuck ad was shot in a magical garden with hanging chandeliers.

Wonderstuck is packaged in a purple round cylindrical shaped bottle and is embellished with an ellaborated gold cap and enchanting charms.
